The Hive is a place where dancers feel welcome, supported, and excited to grow. Whether you are here to dance for fun, try something new, or train more seriously, there is a place for you.
Season Details:
• Our season begins September 8 and runs through May
• We take breaks for major holidays
• Most classes average around $48 per month
We offer two stage performances each year:
Winter Showcase in December
• A fun and relaxed on-stage performance
• Dancers wear Hive t-shirts instead of costumes
• A showcase fee covers the shirt and set amount of tickets per a family. ( extra tickets can be bought)
Spring Recital in May
• A full-costume recital held at Grand Ledge High School
• No recital fee
• Tickets are sold separately (required for entry)
What does it mean to be a competitive studio?
At The Hive Dance Studio, being a competitive studio means we offer dancers the option to train at a higher level. Our Hive Dance Team performs across the state and country, learning from professional judges who help them grow in both skill and confidence.
Team dancers become leaders in our studio. They mentor younger students, assist in classes, and help create an environment that is welcoming and encouraging.

Many of our dancers thrive in recreational classes or choose to be part of our non-competitive company, where they train, perform more often, and be part of something special. We believe in meeting each dancer where they are and allowing them to grow at their own pace with the level of commitment that works for their goals and lifestyle. No matter what path they choose, every dancer is part of our Hive family and supported every step of the way.
